Every drop of water is recycled in this small village in the jungles of Panna, thanks to the initiative of the Jal Jeevan Mission. This has led to kitchen gardens, enough water for the cattle and irrigation and even a lotus pond

Once the backbone of agriculture in the Bundelkhand region, the Kenkatha breed of cattle that was once prolific in the villages on the banks of the river Ken is dwindling at an alarming rate. The indigenous breed can survive harsh weather conditions which makes it climate-resilient.

Sub inspector Bakhat Singh Thakur has set up a library — Vidyadan Pustakalay — at Brijpur Thana to promote education among children of nearby villages in Panna district of Madhya Pradesh. The police station also regularly holds sports events and awareness drives. Thakur, a former teacher, believes providing education is a way to tackle crime and empower children to seek better futures.

सब इंस्पेक्टर बखत सिंह ठाकुर ने मध्य प्रदेश के पन्ना जिले में आस-पास के गाँवों के बच्चों के बीच शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए बृजपुर थाने में एक पुस्तकालय - विद्यादान पुस्तकालय - की स्थापना की है। यहां पर अब नियमित रूप से खेल आयोजन और जागरूकता अभियान भी आयोजित किए जाते हैं। बखत सिंह, खुद एक शिक्षक रह चुके हैं उनका मानना है कि शिक्षा प्रदान करना अपराध से निपटने और बच्चों को बेहतर भविष्य के लिए सशक्त बनाने का एक तरीका है।
